Pioneering BREEAM certification in Greece from ground zero
Pantelis Levantis introduced BREEAM to Greece, a country with no prior certified buildings and a construction sector devastated by economic crisis. As founder of Ecoveritas and former President of the Sustainable Building Council of Greece, he has delivered over 561,000m² of BREEAM-certified space across 31 projects spanning office, retail, residential, industrial, hospitality and government sectors. His work includes Greece's first certified projects in each typology and the 548-room Grand Hyatt Athens. Beyond individual projects, he successfully lobbied for sustainability certification incentives within Greek building regulations and trained over 78 delegates, building the country's BREEAM capacity from scratch.

Pioneering architect transforming North American passive building standards
Katrin Klingenberg is nominated for her visionary leadership in advancing climate-responsive design across North America. As founder of Phius, she developed the first cost-optimised, climate-specific passive building standard, making ultra-low-energy construction accessible across all regions. Her work has certified 616 projects achieving 40–60% energy reductions, trained thousands of professionals, and influenced policy at state and federal levels. From designing America's first passive house in 2003 to establishing robust certification pathways, Klingenberg has fundamentally redefined sustainable building practice and inspired widespread market transformation towards zero-carbon, resilient construction.

Adrian Pop, founder of ADP, has delivered 422 BREEAM certifications across five million m2 in 10 countries over two years, with zero halted assessments. His work spans retail, logistics, and office portfolios for clients including PENNY, MITISKA REIM, CTP, and VGP. Notable achievements include the world's first BREEAM v6 Outstanding certifications and VGP Romania's commitment to Outstanding as standard. Pop's systematic approach embeds sustainability into portfolio strategy, ESG governance, and public policy, raising industry benchmarks across multiple European markets.

Pioneering sustainable urban development across Hungary's built environment
Gábor Radványi, Chief Architect at Futureal Group, has driven sustainability integration across large-scale commercial and mixed-use developments in Hungary for nearly two decades. As a founding member of the Hungarian Green Building Council, he has established BREEAM as a baseline requirement across Futureal's office and retail portfolio, with flagship projects including Budapest ONE and Etele Plaza achieving Outstanding ratings.
