Multi Certification Leadership finalists
Aviva Investors portfolio
Portfolio-wide certification approach embedding sustainability across European real estate
Aviva Investors has achieved two portfolio-wide BREEAM In-Use certifications across standing assets, complemented by multiple new construction standards including BREEAM, DGNB, and Miljöbyggnad across European developments. This systematic multi-certification approach integrates independent verification throughout the asset lifecycle, from design through operation. The framework supports consistent ESG performance measurement, contributing to a 72-point GRESB improvement across seven funds, while demonstrating how coordinated certification strategies can strengthen investor transparency, asset resilience and long-term sustainability outcomes at scale.
LightOn
Warsaw office building pioneers integrated certification excellence
LightOn, a central Warsaw office development by CPI Property Group, achieved BREEAM International New Construction V6 Outstanding certification with 94.5% in June 2025. The project distinguishes itself through a deliberately integrated multi-certification strategy, combining BREEAM, WELL Pre-certification, and targeting WiredScore Platinum and SmartScore Gold. This holistic approach demonstrates how environmental performance, occupant wellbeing, digital resilience and accessibility can be pursued cohesively rather than in isolation, setting a new benchmark for future-ready commercial buildings in Poland.
Luxia
Multi-certification excellence in Brussels office development
LUXIA is a shell and core office development in Brussels achieving BREEAM International New Construction Outstanding (90.8%) alongside WELL Gold v2, AirScore Platinum, WiredScore Gold, and BiodiverCity certifications. This integrated approach demonstrates how coordinated multi-certification delivers superior environmental performance, occupant wellbeing, digital resilience and biodiversity outcomes. The project overcame constraints including a live traffic tunnel beneath the site, creating a replicable template for high-performance urban redevelopment in dense European city centres while embedding climate resilience through green roofs and rainwater harvesting.
M&G Portfolio
Portfolio-wide sustainability leadership through systematic BREEAM certification
M&G has launched an ambitious two-cycle BREEAM In-Use programme across more than 100 UK assets spanning offices, retail, leisure, hotels and industrial sectors. This systematic approach establishes clear baselines and practical uplift plans for each building, with re-assessment after three years to evidence genuine improvement. The programme integrates BREEAM outcomes with net zero carbon audits and energy performance certificate pathways into single, costed asset plans. By treating BREEAM certification as core to sustainable investment strategy and aligning multiple standards through shared evidence libraries, M&G demonstrates how portfolio-scale certification can drive measurable performance improvements while strengthening occupier engagement and investor transparency.
