BREEAM Technical Working Groups

Our BREEAM Technical Working Groups (TWGs) bring together industry and subject matter experts to ensure that our technical standards reflect the latest scientific and sector developments.

We currently have TWGs for the following sustainability issues: circularity, health and wellbeing, social impact, natural environment, carbon, resilience, and delivery and performance. If you would like to be considered to join a BREEAM TWG, please complete the application form and a member of our team will be in touch.

We partner with organisations around the world to help deliver BREEAM and improve the sustainability of the built environment. Our partners include the National Scheme Operators (NSOs) who operate locally adapted BREEAM schemes under licence in specific countries.

Provide feedback on the BREEAM New Construction Version 7 technical manual pre-release (UK and International)

The pre-release of the BREEAM New Construction Version 7 (V7) technical manuals (UK and International), along with a comprehensive Summary of Changes document, are now available for review.

The upcoming BREEAM New Construction Version 7 update ensures that BREEAM’s building assessment, benchmarking, and certification criteria remain aligned with the latest scientific data on energy efficiency and Net Zero Carbon (NZC), focusing on whole life carbon.
