Project-based awards
New Construction Project of the Year: Celebrates outstanding sustainability performance in new builds certified under BREEAM New Construction – including Infrastructure and Communities.
Infrastructure Project of the Year: Recognises infrastructure projects that demonstrate high quality sustainability performance through BREEAM Infrastructure certification, delivering measurable environmental, social and economic value across the project lifecycle. Open to civil engineering, infrastructure, landscaping and public realm projects certified between 1 January 2024 and 31 March 2026.
Refurbishment and Fit Out Excellence: Commends projects that have transformed existing buildings through sustainable refurbishment or fit out, demonstrating measurable improvements and creative use of BREEAM.
In-Use Performance: Recognises operational buildings that demonstrate continuous improvement in sustainability performance through BREEAM In-Use, with strong ESG alignment.
Small Project, Big Impact: For projects under 5,000 m² that demonstrate exceptional sustainability, innovation, or community benefit, proving that scale is no barrier to impact.
Climate Resilience Excellence: Honours projects that proactively address climate risks such as overheating, flooding and biodiversity loss through resilient design and planning.
Digital Sustainability Innovation: Showcases projects that harness digital technologies and PropTech to transform sustainability in the built environment, enhancing building performance and streamlining certification.
Lifecycle Impact Commitment: Honours projects or portfolios that have achieved or are actively pursuing verified net zero carbon performance, setting a benchmark for climate leadership.
Communities and Social Value Leadership: Celebrates projects and organisations that deliver exceptional social value and foster thriving, inclusive communities, going beyond environmental performance to create meaningful social impact.
Sustainable City Award: Highlights cities shaping the built environment of tomorrow through sustainability mandates and widespread BREEAM certification, attracting investment and setting global benchmarks for resilient, future-ready urban development.
Organisational awards
Portfolio ESG Impact: Recognises asset managers and owners who achieve outstanding ESG performance across portfolios through the strategic application of BREEAM, demonstrating how future-focused investment strategies deliver measurable impact and long-term value.
Multi-Certification Leadership: Recognising organisations that showcase exceptional commitment to sustainability by achieving and integrating multiple certifications, setting a benchmark for holistic ESG performance through resilience, transparency and continuous improvement.

Future Sustainability Advocate: Celebrates individuals who proactively pursue CPD and sustainability learning, embracing innovative practices to drive positive outcomes in the built environment.

Images are required as part of the awards submission. Please include up to six high-resolution images within the form. Include both external and internal images, where possible, to offer a comprehensive view of the building.
To support your application and allow us to produce a content rich awards evening, please use the following specifications when supplying your content.
For video content the minimum requirements are:
- Format: 16:9 (1920 x 1080px) HD
- File type: Hi res MPEG or .MOV
For photography:
- Please supply the highest resolution possible. As a rule of thumb file size should be a minimum of 3-5MB and a minimum of 150dpi.
- Please ensure all file titles include your company name and project name (if applicable).
