Register your first project in BREEAM Refurbishment and Fit Out V7

BREEAM RFO V7 is now available on the BREEAM platform, while assessments using earlier versions will continue to be managed through BREEAM Projects.

The BREEAM Platform and our suite of Version 7 products are designed to support those responsible for an asset or its development works across the full life cycle of an asset. 

Asset owners or developers can create an account in the BREEAM Platform. This will provide:  

  • Controlled access for design teams, assessors, and end clients 
  • Improved collaboration across project stakeholders 
  • Portfolio-level performance visibility 
  • Real-time score tracking throughout assessment 
  • Clear audit trail throughout the BREEAM assessment 
  • Early score testing, through our pre-assessment tool 

 

To take advantage of these benefits, please follow steps 1-5 below.  

Alternatively, you can jump to step 4, and the assessment registration can be fully managed by the licensed assessor in the BREEAM Platform.  Please note however, that before a project can be certified, an owner must be assigned to the assessment.  

Step 1: Create or sign in to your account

Create a BREEAM Platform account BREEAM Platform or sign in to an existing account to get started. 

Step 2: Create an asset  

Add your asset to the BREEAM Platform and provide the information needed to begin the assessment process.

Step 3: Complete a pre-assessment (optional) 

A pre-assessment can help you understand the project's likely sustainability performance at an early stage. It provides an indication of the credits that may be achievable and the potential BREEAM rating the asset could attain.

Step 4: Appoint a licensed assessor  

Engage a licensed BREEAM assessor as early as possible to maximise opportunities to achieve your target rating. Your assessor will guide you through the assessment process, review the evidence provided by the project team and verify compliance with the relevant BREEAM requirements before awarding credits and calculating the final score and rating. Step 5: Register your assessment

Once appointed, your licensed assessor will register the assessment on the BREEAM Platform and begin the formal assessment process.
